This DoubleTree was by all accounts, a good hotel. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and I had no real issues during my stay for a work retreat. My main issue, and pet peeve to be honest, was with the bathroom - there was no exhaust. Therefore, any time I took a shower the entire bathroom became moist. No ventilation at all. It was also a pretty dark bathroom - the lighting was not very bright. The plumbing in the bathroom was also sub-par. The sink backed up/filled up quickly and the toilet was extremely low flow. It clogged from only a few sheets of toilet paper! The bed, sheets and pillows were extremely comfortable, and I slept very well. A hotel convenience store would have been appreciated - as the only option here was a window sill of select sodas and candy bars. A bit underwhelming. The other issue I experienced was with a mix-up in parking charges. I came in a group of 3. We had driven together in one SUV. And the parking charge was to be placed on a different card. Instead it was placed on mine, and charged twice. Fortunately, it was resolved through my work associate the day after we left. All good. The hotel restaurant/bar was a pleasant surprise as well. Again, overall, a nice hotel. But not one I would seek out or choose for myself.
