As I am writing this review, my blood pressure is sky high! I was just hung up on by a billing manager named Henry. I originally spoke with Sharon. I received a notice for a cancellation fee of $65. They claim that I owe this money for a no call no show and not canceling an appointment within 24 hours. I admit that one the non cancelation within 24 hours could have happened. It was this summer. I do not remember. I have never, ever not shown up to an appointment! I respect all doctors and their time. I was verbally harassed by Henry and told that I didn't cancel the appointment. Sharon originally offered to have me pay $32.50.
I told her that I do not feel I should pay any money since I canceled the appointment. She transfers me to Henry who said he will not honor her settlement and said the best he can do is $40. He said if I do not pay the $40 now, he would send me to a different collection agency! I told him that I do not have my credit card with me and that I was not prepared to pay anything since I do not feel I owe them anything. He would not allow me to call him tomorrow and pay the $32.50. I asked him to send me an email or put a letter in the mail stating that if I pay $32.50, he would take me out of collections and I would no longer owe them anything else. He said he will not send me anything and if I did not pay now, he would take the offer off the table.
I am hurt because $32.50 will not make or break me.
I am a fraud investigator and fortunate to make almost six figures a year not including the income of my spouse. I have referred multiple people to this doctor. My oldest son is a patient. I told him that I do not want any bad blood between me and the doctors. I want to bring my youngest son in as well but this fee is not fair! Henry hung the phone up on me and said this conversation is going nowhere!!
The doctors are amazing here. I just wish their back office staff would represent them in a professional and fair manner!
I threatened to write a bad review and Henry told me to do what I have to do. What kind of leader is he, to risk putting his company at risk from earning future income...over $32.50!!!
This office is in Ahwatukee. Most of us can afford $32.50 and have friends that we refer. Everyone should be so blessed to have a good dermatologist, even if your skin is perfect!
I am sad that this happened. Now I will have this on my credit! I wish it didn't have to end this way! The only reason I was willing to consider paying the $32.50 is so it would not ruin my credit. I guess I have to pay it now since I have been bullied in to it.
