Downtown Waxhaw has something that's cool. And it's Crossroads. I used to have a weekly meeting in the upstairs room that's often utilized for AA gatherings and the like. It's a quirky building surrounded by sweet, smoking old people sitting on the porch.
With a variety of coffee drinks available and pastries, etc., it's a great morning stop if you're in the area. It's (thankfully) no Starbucks, and has more personality than your average java station.
Staff is friendly enough...not invasively so, though.
If you're in the area and need some caffeine, swing by Crossroads and enjoy a steaming cup of Waxhaw flavor.
