This is a long overdue review for our families favorite sushi restaurant in Las Vegas. My family and I enter the restaurant and immediately I see Greg the owner and I give him a big healthy happy to see you hug. Tonight we are extra hungry so we sit down and immediately start ordering from the vegan menu.. Yes folks Miko's even has a vegan sushi menu. Before we even get a chance to order Greg returns to our table with a new salad and vegan dressing that he had recently created and wanted our family to try. The verdict? The dressing was delicious.. Ginger and sesame seed made my mouth sing! I told Greg that vegan dressing or not he should make that the house dressing. We then proceeded to order some warm sake and edamame as well as miso soup to get the party started.
We quickly cleaned our bowls an were ready for round two of hijjiki and 2 bowls of kimpora. After we barely took a breath and a swig of sake, we were ready for round three! We settled on rabbit rolls, Traditional Gord rolls, Hawaiin rolls, american caterpillar and Bella ordered tempora green beans and asparagus.
We ordered all of the rolls with Haiga rice. This is a delicious healthy rice with the fiber still in tact... Unlike the nutrient dead white rice. Our rolls were prepared to perfection. The Hawaiian roll with fresh pineapple and coconut sauce could easily have been my dessert.. So decadent! Greg gave us the back story on the Gord rolls.
My family and I drive to Henderson from Summerlin about 20 miles because Miko's is that good!
