I adopted a Golden Retriever almost 10 years ago and we had a Beagle at the time, the beagle has since passed away from old age, after a long conversation with my wife and family we agreed on a German Shepherd, please note our Golden really seemed depressed being without the Beagle. When the representative from this organization came and inspected my house my wife was upstairs working, she does Real Estate listings and offers and anyone that does this for a living knows that it can be a lot of work, my wife came down and said hello and then bolted back upstairs as she was working with a client on a home deal. The next week I received an email stating that although our home was great, they were denying my application to adopt, because they felt my wife was not onboard. My wife was furious and tried calling, the rescue would not return any phone calls or emails, we were basically shut out. A bunch of Zealots here that are doing more harm in my opinion to the adoptable dogs as they are denying them wonderful homes for invalid reasons, this just forces people like myself to go to backyard breeders or buy from puppy stores. I challenge any Rescue here in town to come inspect my animals and their living quarters and see for youself how great my animals have it.
