I have waited a long time to write this review (a couple of months) because I desperately wanted to hate my haircut less. I made a same-day appointment with Andrea because I desperately needed a haircut before an impromptu trip. I showed her a collage of haircuts similar to what I was looking for - a pseudo pixie of sorts. First warning: she sprayed my hair with a most bottle instead of shampooing it. I ignored this, though, as I had just washed my hair and figured maybe she knew what she was doing. Andrea cut my hair, then showed it to me. I asked if she could cut it a little shorter. She said, "What? In the back?" I said, "Well, all over, but yes the back too." She told me that it wouldn't look right and that it was still a little wet and would shorten up once it dried. I've never had a stylist argue with me about how to cut my hair. She then asked if I wanted her to blow dry it. Um?! Most people don't want to leave a salon looking like a wet dog, so yes, obviously. Once she was finished she looked at me in the mirror and said something about it being so cute. All I could think was, "Not at all what I asked for." Pseudo pixie? Not even close. Classic A-line bob. So disappointing. And the sides were uneven, so not even a great A-line bob. Just mediocre. Upon paying, I was charged $27. Their site says $15, the sign outside said $17, and somehow my haircut was $27. The receipt showed a cut at $17, and EC x2 @ $5.00 each. I don't know what EC is, but I probably could have paid $10-15 more for the haircut I asked for at any number of other salons. Andrea was nice enough through most of the cut, but not washing my hair, arguing with me when I asked for changes, and asking if I wanted it blow dried are what earned her 2 stars. In fact, I feel I am generously giving one extra star. If you don't care what your hair style is - this is the place for you! If you want a proper cut and style without EC charges? Steer clear.
