I love coming here and I love the food and atmosphere! The staff has always been great EXCEPT the hostesses are the worst ever on the strip. I have been here many times, and the worst time I had was when I went with my coworkers. We all work at a day club and it was just girls. I understand that Cosmopolitan has the worst problem anywhere on the strip with escorts, but I don't think us girls look remotely like escorts, but the Holstein hostesses sure treated us like we were unwelcome guests of theirs. A couple girls came late to dinner and filtered in, and each time the hostesses at the front door INSISTED that there was no party of ours in the back of the place despite us texting our girlfriends that we were inside. This happened three times that the hostesses would not even let the girls walk to the back to find us. Seriously the hostess would not let the girl walk in to Holsteins to find our party. I couldn't believe it. Most places in Las Vegas LOVE having pretty girls around and usually will even pay to have pretty girls in places or pay for their dinners. The hostesses here acted like we were hookers or something instead. When we complained to our server each time this happened she didn't know what to do or how to handle the situation. She never got a manager and being servers ourselves we didn't insist. We liked our waitress so we didn't want to be too fussy. Since this happened I haven't been back but I guess I am open to it if I want a burger. The food here really is good during that once-a-week time of the month for a girl when I can just kill a whole burger, a salad, a milkshake and especially the fried pickles.
