****************************** REVIEW 864 ******************************* Chef Arika Back knows what he's doing here, a former professional snowboarder and worked under many great chefs (Morimoto, Nobu). Chef Arika Back brings much more to Yellowtail, offers classic Japanese cuisine, which features innovative dishes that utilize fresh ingredients. We frequent here for snack with the casino host; this time we had a quick bites with Julie K., but the food here is always consistent and yummy. Service is quick and we love sitting at the bar, to try all the sake cocktails. - Shikoku octopus with cucumber and jalapeno vinaigrette - Hamachi Serrano - Kobe beef sashimi in ponzu sauce - Big eye tuna pizza, reminds me of Morimoto Waikiki - Oyster shooters with citrus sake. If you are the type of Yelpers complain about the small portion, this is way out of your league, remember even a bowl of PHO is $15 here at a 5 diamonds resort and casino. You get what you pay for, this Yellowtail considers reasonable compare to other sushi spots on this strip! P.S. try the cucumber and ginger cocktails when you get a chance!
