I had to stop by this market after finding it on YELP. If you're a north sider like I am you know that we have NO organic grocers except whole foods and sprouts down the 95. Because of this all of my shopping is done at smiths.
OBVIOUSLY I was super excited to see another organic market in place of F&E.
First of all, people need to realize that organic/"healthy" items are always marked up, it's marketing.... don't ya know??
Upon entry I was greeted by a small and lovely selection of produce (and some produce samples!). Heading down the store I ran into three huge isles full of every vitamin/supplement you could think of! I was actually really excited to find a huge variety of probiotics and also my prenatals that I have to buy online because no store carries them (although this market is about $7 more than what I pay).
A huge selection of frozen foods and grains, the organic meat (price comparable to smiths) and very small and no bison but still good meats.
Organic milk, eggs, cereal, dry goods, home goods, beauty products, pet food?snacks..
My overall opinion:
I'm so happy to have an organic market on the north end (they didn't forget about us!) but I do feel that items are over priced compared to sprouts and smiths (understandable because it IS a small market). I will be shopping here for produce, eggs, milk, and some odds and ends I can't find cheaper at smiths.
I do want to thank the owners for choosing this location!! We've needed you for a while!
BTW:
BRING YOUR OWN BAG MARKET!
The way every market should be!
