When warm weather hits Pittsburgh, I know it's time to make a trip to Dave & Andy's. Nothing beats this place. The sweet smell of freshly handmade ice cream and waffle cones alone is to die for. Creamy ice cream is of course the #1 reason to visit. In addition to their ice cream, sundaes and milkshakes, they offer frozen yogurt which is actually quite good. Really, nothing here has disappointed me yet. The place is admittedly quite small, so it's never surprising when I find a line of people waiting to order their own sweet treat. Fortunately the staff here have always been quite patient and quick, and so I've never really been held up for that long, even in a longer line. There is very limited seating here, so usually I opt to get some ice cream to enjoy while walking through Oakland. Definitely definitely definitely stop by Dave & Andy's sometime - they are one of the best dessert spots in Pittsburgh, and your sweet tooth will thank you for visiting.
