Dropped by after work with some colleagues for a happy hour and to nosh on some bar bites. This pub is right by our Canada office and also the hotel I was staying at in downtown Calgary, so the location was quite convenient. Everyone ordered some drinks and a bunch of bar appetizers for the table to share. The food ranged from "pretty solid" to "so-so." "Swine-tine" - this is their fancy version of poutine, which I had never had before, but definitely wanted to try at least once while in Canada. Fries smothered in gravy, cheese curds, pulled pork, and a fried egg. This was REALLY good - definitely the best thing we ate! Loaded Nachos - A huge stack of nachos, but unfortunately not many toppings once you got through the top layer, and the meat was really dry. Would pass on these the next time. Appetizer Sampler - this came with a bunch of stuff: fried cauliflower bites, beef jerky, Korean short ribs, veggies with dipping sauce, more nachos, naan, sweet potato fries, and pulled pork. Again, the food quality was pretty average... but we were starving, so we devoured all of it. OVERALL: 3/5. I feel like service was a little slow, but our waitress was nice. All in all, not a bad place to grab a drink or bar bites - just nothing particularly amazing.
