I'm going to start by saying that I have never lived here. I applied here while apartment shopping through their website, alliance advantage. this is the same website/management company that my old apartment I was movingout of used. I paid rent on alliance advantage, etc. When I got my final bill from my old apartment complex, I went online to alliance advantage, and paid that bill. Unknowingly, the payment went to Spectra on 7th. I immediately called, and was told they could not refund me the money, and that I would need to cancel the payment with my bank. well, I paid with a debit card, and it had already gone through, so I could not cancel the payment. I then called back and advised them of this, and they said there was nothing they could do, and that I would need to contact my bank. I tried one more time, and then they said well they could refund it but it'll take time. From there I opened a dispute with my bank. On 1/17 my bank sent the dispute to Spectra for the refund, and it is now one month later and they have not heard back from Spectra at all. I called Spectra once again, and they did let me speak to their account manager. she told me that the charge didn't go through. I can clearly see it went through and I was charged. they said it did not and again, I would need to contact my bank. I advised that I did contact my bank, but my bank needs that information in order to complete my dispute. I was told "we don't talk to banks". well what DO you do in situations like these? Now Im out $222.36 and they won't help me? I am SO glad I did not decide to live here. Horrible customer service!
