I'd like to first thank Chris and Anthony for making this event happen this year! I don't think I learned more about Italian food and the culture in Mississauga until I heard Anthony talk to us more about it!
It was a truly awesome experience to have Anthony, the organizer of italfest and owner of Palma pasta to take us on a personal VIP tour to the different food vendors and gave us a brief history of Italy and how Italians settled in Ontario!
Chris warned us to not expect a full meal and to eat ahead of time, but boy was I in for a surprise! Anthony was very generous with us and took us to more than food vendors. From pizza to skewers to coffee to gelato, I was stuffed by the end! To me, the experience felt like a full meal and more!
I really enjoyed this event because I got to meet more fellow Yelp Elites and some I met online, but not in person yet!
This was my first Yelp Experience in the GTA where it's not only just about the food, but also knowing the culture and history of our city and the community we live in!
I hope you get to join in this experience next year too because this is the second year Yelp hosted with Italfest and I'm sure it will happen again next year!
