Thank you Yelp and thank you Eddie!
I was looking for a new place to take my wife for her birthday. A Yelp search turned up this place. And, the OpenTable connection right in Yelp for a reservation was apparently a life saver as they were hopping and turning away walk-in's!
The People
The people really got our visit off to a great start. The gentleman bartender (shame on me for not getting his name), immediately greeted us while we were waiting to be seated (as we got there early) and made us feel right at home. He made the perfect recommendation for my wife - a Lemon-Cherry Martini (I think that's what it was called). Eddie himself even said "hello," made us feel welcome and exhibited amazing ESP by knowing it was my wife's birthday! Talking about having the pulse of your customer and business! Michael, our server, continued with the spirit and made our dinner experience a wonderful experience.
The Food
Yum! They offer half-portions, which allow you to try a couple of things and really have an experience. We had the Diver Scallops and the What's In This Steak. Both were wonderful! We started it with Lobster Bisque and ended with a Chocolate Moose. All in all, my only regret was not ordering one more half portion, or ordering a full portion of something - not because we didn't get enough - but because it was soooo good.
But, that's the sweet ending to this. We will be back to his house as we so much want to try the other dishes and once again experience Eddie's amazing hospitality.
