We had never been to this Sushi-Mon location, but it's our friends favorite and right down the street from their home, so we said 'why not?' We sat at the large table just inside the door, it seats six, and that was the size of our party. We spent almost an hour in the restaurant, all ordering AYCE, and were only able to order twice. Once upon arrival, and once for dessert. What a sham. We kept trying to flag down the waiter (this place is tiny, so there shouldn't have been an issue) and he was just too busy for us, apparently. We requested a hot tea refill 3 separate times to no avail. The nigiri that I was able to get to the table was great, fresh scallop had a pine flavor to it - strange. Our friends had many rolls - they ordered everything they wanted in the first order, and asked later on why we ordered so little. We explained that with AYCE, you're supposed to order little by little so you don't over-order. They have clearly eaten here so often that they knew you only really had one solid chance of getting your order in. Sad. We won't be back to this locaton. We'll stick with the other Sushi-Mon and Goye-mon along with other faves in the valley.
