I was looking for a gym in the neighbourhood (King/entertainment district) and was turned off by the PINK I saw in the pictures for Elle. I thought (wrongly), "It's going to be filled with either prissy or bitchy girls." I tried other gyms in the area (e.g. Hourglass Workout, Best Body Bootcamp - the latter I really liked especially the trainer Skylar, but it just wasn't affordable for a student). Finally, I decided to try Elle since they give a FREE WEEK anyway, so why not! And I'M SO GLAD I DID!!! Their classes are HARD and the gym is NOT filled with prissy or bitchy girls. Rather, the environment is one of supportive women, everyone doing their thing and working hard! You don't feel judgment or anything like that. The trainers, too, are EXCELLENT - especially Gill, Alicia, Alana, Michelle E, and Stephanie. They have classes at all times of the day with different foci, so there's always something you can make, from hip hop to strength-focused training to cardio! I hate cardio, but the classes are a great way to get me in there to do what I dread! I especially love the Boxing and Lean Machine classes, as they are circuit-style. I bought a year-long pass they had on special and I don't regret it one bit -- instead, I'm motivated to go almost every day! They also have a new squat rack and rower & personal training room - got a good deal on 20 PT sessions too and am loving those with Gill! The place is also constantly being cleaned, and while there are A LOT of women going in & out, they really do an excellent job of keeping the place clean considering the amount of traffic. Also, Robyn and Kristin @ the front desk are wonderful, friendly, and helpful. LOVE THIS PLACE and cannot recommend it enough!
