I read Consumer Reports to find where to get the best deal on new glasses. I wear contacts most of the time, so I did not want to spend the premium price for glasses at a privately owned eye clinic. Costco Optical was exactly what I needed. At the time, my insurance did not include eye coverage. So, when I compared eye exams fees, the independent optometrist office located inside Costco made sense. The office went out of their way to work with my schedule and set up an appointment. Since I was squeezed into their schedule, I had a little wait when I arrived. The beauty of this location is that any wait time can be spent wandering the Costco aisles and trying the various samples. Dr. Kevin Russell was knowledgeable and through. His office staff even had some rebates on the contacts I was going to order. In the end, I got a great looking pair of glasses and a year's supply of contacts at a price that could not be beat online or other brick and mortar store. I would recommend Eyecare 4 U located inside the Gilbert Costco for anyone looking for a knowledgeable, no frills, value priced optometrist.
