Grounds are nice. It's a motel, but the doors and windows open into the gated courtyard area, which is accessed by keycard. There's not much parking, but we've found spots. The location is fantastic. Our room was great, newly updated. Comfy bed & pillows (something I'm picky about). Free breakfast was only cereal, toast, and drinks.
After reading the reviews, I found that some rooms are updated, but not all. We got to the hotel at 3:10 on a Saturday, and we were able to check in early for no charge. I asked for a renovated room, and we got one. There were only two left. For $50 a night off-season, it was fantastic. If we had gotten an old room, I'd rather pay $30 more and go elsewhere. (Our reservation could be be cancelled up until 4:00 pm the day of check-in).
