This was a great hike! I got a solid workout in with some great scenery. It was my first hike at Mt Charleston after a major knee surgery and a good test for my knee at 3.6 miles. I think the parking lot was about 7870 ft and the climb took us to 9270 ft. There was 2 seperate small falls at the top both with hanging icicles and snow. Quite a bit of ice broke off and fell when we were there. It was kinda scary at first as I thought it was falling rock maybe. There were quite a bit of switchbacks on the trail to help you get to the top. The temperature was perfect today in the mid to upper 70's. Didn't see too much wildlife as it is one of the busiest trails on the mountain. Overall a great experience and worth the trip up for sure! Here is a solid list of trails on Mt Charleston that talks about degree of difficulty and trail details. Apparently Mary Jane Falls is considered "advanced" for a few reasons. http://mtcharlestonresort.com/mount-charleston-nevada/mt-charleston-hike-ski-weather/hikes-in-las-vegas.php
