I'm kinda-sorta-Scandi (selectively); in this case I will happily claim allegiance if it in any way makes me more connected to The Danish Pastry House!
Everything here is enough to make you chuck your diet out the window. I know this. I did this.
Recommendations:
- soft cinnamon bread loaf
- fibrous nut-and-seed bread that gives your chompers a great work-out
- coconut loaf with a crusty top
- tangy but light rhubarb cake
- many individual pastry options featuring the Danish classics of: marzipan and/or custard
Truly, I can't say enough positive things about the DPH. Fresh, friendly, and...SURPRISINGLY EXCELLENT COFFEE. Worth driving out of my way (and then I have to put the cinnamon loaf in the trunk so that I don't tuck in while driving and sugarcoat the steering wheel).
Yelp note: call ahead if you want something specific because they have sold out before! Is anything more disappointing than not getting the loaf of bread your cravings pushed you out of home for?
