I'm not one to typically review a place or speak up when I've been mistreated, but the 1 star is specifically in regards to Laraine Pizzi. I met with her today after my 32 weeks ultrasound since my usual doctor (Dr Eckel) was out on vacation. She mentioned that now is the time in my pregnancy where I need to get the flu shot. I told her I wasn't sure if that was something I wanted to do or not. She asked why and I said that I just wanted to take the time to look into it more and that I would consider it. Her response was literally... "so when your baby ends up dead and you're sick in the hospital with the flu, you're ok with that".
Excuse me?!? I'm 100% open to a professional and adult conversation about the pros and cons of getting the flu shot but the way that she talked to me was so rude and disrespectful. My boyfriend who was also in the room with us couldn't believe she talked to me like that either.
Everyone is entitled to their own thoughts on what they feel is best for their body and their pregnancy. I refuse to let someone try to bully or use fear tactics as a way to pressure me into choosing something I'm not comfortable with.
I'm so glad that Dr. Eckel is my regular doctor because I refuse to see Laraine again after today's encounter. He deserves 5 stars, as does the ultrasound tech who is always the sweetest.
