Wherever we go we always seek out wine tasting. Carlson Creek's tasting room was one recommended by our Arizona Yelp friend, Christa L. It pays to have local Yelp friends who are in the know, like Christa, because Carlson Creek was a great recommendation!
Wendy, our server, was very knowledgeable and helpful. I really appreciated her help keeping track of which wines I liked, which can be a real challenge after having a few tastings (hum, did I like the 2013 or 2014 better, that kind of help). I was very impressed with everything I tasted of both whites and reds.
The vineyards are located in Wilcox Wine Country, which is southeast of Scottsdale and where the elevations is higher and climate is cooler. I didn't realize there were so many vineyards in Arizona.
The tasting room is a cool and comfortable place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. We bought a few bottles to take home.
