The food here is super simple, yet super tasty. The menu is pretty short and sweet - different variations of Japanese curry with either rice, udon, or ramen. I love places with limited menus because that means that the restaurant must be very good at what they do. My theory held true for Japanese Curry Zen. I got the chicken katsu curry with rice and it was absolutely delicious. The katsu was so crispy and juicy. The curry was amazing and had just the right amount of heat (you can specify how spicy you want it!). The portion size was pretty decent, probably good for a person with a regular sized appetite. However, I was still hungry after my meal - I don't know if it's because it wasn't big enough for me or it was just so good that I wanted to eat more of it! The service is good too. I was seated quickly and my food came out pretty fast. I would definitely recommend this place. Delicious simple food and great service. However, this parking lot is pretty annoying. I came here on a Friday night and was extremely annoyed by the large number of people who appear to not know how to operate a vehicle. Just watch out because it could get congested and people seem to now have horrible parking skills.
