This market is relatively convenient, but it is not one of the best Ranch Markets around. There's one in Mesa that is much better, but it's not convenient so we don't go there very often.
This one is smaller, and has less selection. But you will find a lot of Hispanic staples here, including some produce items you won't find in ordinary groceries very often. We found the produce items we were seeking, and the prices were pretty good. Their meat counter is less impressive than the one in Mesa.
Their calenderia is good. Reasonable prices and authentic food. Their albondigas were really good, and my wife liked her caldo de res. We consistently get tasty authentic meals there, and it's one of the better Mexican restaurants in the east valley. But it is a calenderia. No table service, and the tables aren't really private. They're picnic tables. Knowing a little Spanish helps here, but if you don't there will be someone behind the counter whose English is good enough. I would probably give the calenderia 4 stars by itself.
