I went in last week because I was looking for some treats to share with my colleagues and really had a craving for some macaroons. The display is really nice. Not only do they have an assortment of sweets but they also serve savory items and in fact I saw quite the queue during lunch.
I went during a busy time of day. I ordered six macaroons for $10, normally they are $2 each. Service was perfunctory. The macaroons were good, but I found the strawberry one too sweet and really dense around the middle where the outside met the filling.
I went again earlier this week to try out one of their cookies. I chose the vanilla orange one. I couldn't help but notice that there were 5 service staff to the 3 customers in the shop. The woman who took my order put the cookie in a paper bag and put in on her side of the counter and half way between her and the register and mumbled something I couldn't understand. I went to pay thinking that my cookie would be brought to the cash... it wasn't. I paid, walked back to where my cookie was and reached over the counter to grab it. The cookie was nice. Not too sweet but I would have like a bit more citrus and vanilla coming through, I felt that the cookie was somewhat bland.
I will go back and give them a chance with their other items, they look so good. If it doesn't work out, there are plenty of other places to satisfy my sweet tooth within a 10 m radius.
