If you are considering taking a hot air balloon ride in the Phoenix area, I highly recommend going with FLOAT Balloon Tours. This company adds lots of little touches that make the experience extra special. We arrived at the meeting place and were greeted with cookies and iced coffee. We then took a short van ride to the launch site where we watched the crew ready the balloon. There were a handful of other balloon companies present, but thanks to the expertise and efficiency of the crew, we were the first to launch. Our ride took about an hour. The view was breathtaking. Our pilot Scott was very experienced and was telling us interesting tidbits throughout the flight. Upon landing, we had a toast with a champagne cocktail. We were then served dinner right there in the desert where we landed. We started with a black bean soup, then carne asada fajitas, followed by a brownie with prickly pear sauce for dessert. The food was all delicious, and impressive considering they pull it all together in the middle of nowhere. Overall, I think this company gives you the most bang for your buck.
