So, I will start out by saying that my first trip here was a decent experience. The store was clean and staff was great. The store manager, I believe his name was Jerry - was a great help. My husband and I are in the process of flipping a house and have made multiple trips to this store. The firs time I went in, I purchased 9 gallons of paint - over $300 worth. All was well and the manager tried his very best to help me get signed up with the ACE Visa - he called around because his system was down and did everything he could - oh well not a deal breaker. So, I paid for my paint and off I went after spending around 45 minutes in the store. THEN I run into over a hundred dollar mistake and another trip into the store, made by the person who mixed my paint. I unloaded my paint from my car and separated the paint by the label on the top of the paint can according to the paint name. I left and correctly told the paint to paint 3 rooms the intial color "Cliffside"....When I came back to look at the paint it was dark charcoal. I went into ACE asking for 1 Charcoal, 4 Cliffside & 4 Toffee or some other tan color. Ends up they gave me 5 Charcoal but managed to stick the correct labels on the paint can. So, we call up to the store - spoke to a manager and he told us to come on in. We arrived at the store about 25 minutes after the phone call and he was gone. The assistant manager Ann was there and let me tell you - she is RUDE and BELITTLING. Throughout the entire process of my husband and I trying to get this corrected she was awful. She kept stating how this was our fault and how we were in a rush and would do nothing to help up but give us the new correct paint color - at this point we have already made 4 back and fourth trips from Rantoul because Rantoul's ACE paint mixed was currently not working with the paint color we needed. Wasted time and wasted money. We now wasted an entire weekend of someone painting the house and now have to repay them for someone's mistake of putting a label on incorrectly - or hey mixing the wrong paint and putting the wrong label on. Furious. My husband continued to to contact hire ups with no luck. At one point in time a store credit seemed to have been offered then nothing came about it. We do not feel as if the management as ACE made this situation right for us. Very poor customer service/care. ACE in Champaign, IL will no longer have us as customers. Absolutely appalled that you do not care to take care of your customers.
