We LOVE Lowes in Amherst Ohio! Over the past several years we have purchased and had them install exterior doors with and without side lights, screen doors and garage door. Dave in the mill dept. is very knowledgeable and helpful! We have purchased a washer, dishwasher, fridge and range and are very happy with the service and delivery.
However, we bought tile last year and hired Lowes to do the back splash in our kitchen. They subcontracted it out and the company did a horrible job! The subcontractor even installed broken tiles and the spacing was off. Lowes did stand behind the work and the subcontractor sent "2of their best guys". The job was worst than before. Not only were the grout lines different widths but many places were NOT GROUTED AT ALL!
Today I am having a new countertop put in and will have to replace the tiles. I will not go with Lowes. The company replacing the countertop stated that the tiles have so much mastic that they are having a hard time removing the lower row of tiles because the dry wall is coming off. Do not use Lowes if they are using an out of town subcontractor.
