My wife and I visit Calgary regularily and Kawa is a *required* stop on every trip. Every cup of coffee I've ever had there has made me stop and think "WOOOOOOW That is GREAT". The food is wonderful, the decor is inviting and the service is quick.
I'm knocking off one star because the majority of the staff, while being great baristas who make amazing coffee, are emotionless. There's no warmth or friendliness, they can't take a compliment and you get shrugged at if you ask for a recommendation. It makes the ordering experience feel cold and intimidating. Some employee warmth would warrant another star because everything else about kawa is *amazing*.
