I was unsure how my daughter's first swim class would go, because #1. She is a toddler, #2. It was her first swim class! and #3. At least one of the reviews mentioned the water being too cold in the infant pool. But overall, I'm very happy with the experience at Water Wings!
The reception staff was nice but seemed too busy my first time to properly orient me. But that's ok, it's pretty straightforward.
The water in the infant pool is very pleasant, certainly warm enough. Maybe the reviewer who mentioned cold water went on an off day. This was my biggest concern, so I was relieved.
Both instructors I have experienced so far seem competent and knowledgeable about teaching the class. They were patient with my daughter, who opted to scream through a good half of each class.
My one "con" for Water Wings is definitely the locker/shower room facilities. There is a lot of water on the floor everywhere, and I'm grossed out. I ordered some water shoes to have my daughter wear specifically to go to and from her classes here (not in the actual pool, of course). I may get myself a pair as well. I haven't figured out how to deal with changing when I'm ooked out by the changing rooms. Today, I just changed my daughter in the car before and after. I'll update my review after I've figured out a routine.
Five stars for the instructors and class experience, but two stars for cleanliness. I'm giving it five stars overall because it's amazing for my daughter.
