Went with a party of four, so many reviews.
Good: The fish (not sushi) aka the Robata menu was good.
Shrimp tempura was very good (note below veg tempura below)
Good miso soup.
Tasty sauce in house salad.
Bad: Presentation of roll was poor.
Both teriyakis ordered were definitely sub-par
Vegetable tempura was definitely not up to par.
Service was slightly disappointing and not very attentive (tea refill was difficult)
The squid was under-done.
Need a party of at least 8 for the tatami mats.
Overall, we expected much more. We've been to Japan, and some of us even lived there. With all the positive reviews, we thought this would be our new go-to place; alas, we won't return. They deserve 1.5 stars, but will round to 2 in kindness.
