I have a lot of great things to say about this place. My wife and I were in Calgary for a few days, looking for some fun things to do. I stumbled onto Jim-Bow's Archery and found out they give archery lessons at their archery range. Cool!
I call them up and Joe, one of the partners answers the phone. I ask for lessons. He says it's hunting season, so they don't usually do lessons (it's mid september), but just come in anyways since I'm an out-of-towner, and they'll make an exception. Sweet!
The lesson was great. It was my first time and it was FUN to shoot that bow. The atmosphere of the place is easy-going, friendly and safe. I especially appreciate them making an exception for me, since I was a group of only one. Businesses make more money giving group lessons, but Joe very kindly taught me the basics himself.
Whether you're a local or a traveler, visit this place. They're super friendly and archery is just plain fun.
