My daughter sings at School of Rock and she loves it. Whenever we talk about the program, she constantly says that she "loves it there." She feels confident, safe and empowered. What more could you want for a 11 year old daughter?!
The staff are all extremely supportive and make all the kids feel accepted and cool.
The end of season shows are at the House of Blues, at Mandalay Bay. It's a wonderful chance to learn to perform in front of a larger crowd. Considering most people are terrified of public speaking, I think this program gives kids an enormous life advantage.
Lastly, it's a great way to socialize kids away from their normal social circles. When school drama kicks up, as it will for every kid, there is now another place to go and get away from it.
I'm so happy to have a place for my daughter where the peer pressure is positive and constructive.
