While I didn't chose Allegiant Air as my airline of choice for my trip to NYC... they did save me with the last seat after my United Flight from Charlotte was cancelled at last minute. The surcharges are too high. Checked luggage is cheaper than carry on. Water is $2. I got ice coffee (because I had not had my coffee fix for the day). A bottle for $4 and wasn't even cold so I had to ask for ice. I paid $16 extra for more leg room because it was the only seat left on the plane. The seat was roomy and comfortable. The flight left 10 mins early from Asheville and arrived 40 mins early in Newark. No waiting for a gate. Checked luggage was fast. It served my purpose and I would consider flying Allegiant again if it is cost competitive after adding all the add ons.
