I've stayed at many hotels in LV and this time we stayed at Excalibur because we now have a child. It was a very child-friendly location with a "kid casino" called the fun dungeon. The rooms were nice and we had an excellent view of the strip from the 9th floor. Hotel service was wonderful. The M Life VIP check in was quick and we got to bypass the long reservations line because we had M Life comps.
Now the not so excellent side...resort fees supposedly include all your necessities that a resort would cover. This hotel did not have wifi in the rooms. They charge an additional $20 per day on top of room fees (though our room was comped we still had to pay the resort fees). The wifi in the lobby was very limited and seating in the area was limited as well. They do have a few computers that you can purchase internet access on for .50 per minute!! wow, shouldn't that at least be free to hotel guests? They do include free long distance calls from the room but these days most people have a cell phone and a laptop and would rather have wifi than free long distance. As a person who travels for business/pleasure wifi is a must!!
It would also be great if there were NON smoking sections in a casino where so many people with children walk through the area to get to the shops and rooms.
The staff was very helpful here and things were clean and up to date in the rooms.
