This placed served it's purpose...a low-key place to sleep, relax and have some fun...oh yeah, and not pay an arm and a leg.
Checked in on a Thursday afternoon and was able to check-in before the set check-in time. Got a ready and clean room immediately. First thing I did was check out the room...disappointed with the lack of a few amenities (lack of shower cap, bathroom ventilation, in-room cable and cheesy Vegas guide magazines).
In reading the other reviews, i looked for the flaws of what others said...thankfully, I wasn't bothered by some of others' comments, including thin walls and poor bedding (if you're like me, you are rarely disturbed in your sleep), The pools were awesome! We came in a group and got a cabana...totally worth it. But if you don't want to go that route...there is plenty of space around the pool. Some people picked the kiddie pool, grabbed some smalls chairs, put them in the pool and voi'la! The wave pool and the lazy river were my favorite.
There was a variety of food options...from Diablo's Cantina to the Brew Pub to the food court. BTW: careful, the pool does not allow outside food, but allows drinks (i.e. Starbucks, McDonald's...which can be doctored, wink, wink).
I would come back here for the pools. The hotel itself is nothing special, but if you're looking for something mellow and not too cheesy, this is your place. It is sorta at the end of the strip, but there are several transportation possibilities.
