With sweeping views of the mountains, the desert, and the strip, this is a great idea for a first time Vegas visitor.
One of my my travel companions was a first time Vegas visitor, so we did this excursion for her benefit. To save a little cash, we purchased the day pass and were surprisingly pleased with the view. In fact, as a Vegas veteran, I'd say the daytime view is preferable over the night time as you can see so much more of the topography around the city.
The pod itself looks very Jetson-y. It very slowly creepy pasts the entrance line and you walk on. A pod can fit 40 but I thought my pod with about 20 people, a beer cart with a bartender was comfortable if not cozy. Just be sure you like the people in your pod because the ride is about 30 minutes- no gettin' off! And no bathrooms on the pods either- don't drink too much!
