Yesterday I took my 87 year old mother for an eye exam. She had seen Dr Frohlich on numerous occasions and received her last pair of glasses in 2008. Prior to that she had changed her mind about an order for glasses and her money was refunded. Yesterday, the Dr gave us the impression that her eyes were slightly worse and didn't think a new prescription would help that much. My mom, being elderly was convinced that she would be able to see better with new glasses so paid her $300. The next morning she had second thoughts. Being on fixed income she reconsidered the amount of money and what Dr Frohlich had told her about it maybe only making a slight difference. So, I called the office and asked the cancel the order. Later that morning I received a voice message from Dr. Frohlich. The message appears below.
"I noticed that once again you guys have cancelled your order. I will send a cheque to you and I would appreciate it if Mrs Hayes no longer returns to my office."
I was totally disgusted that a health care professional would treat a senior in this manner. Imagine if our doctors told us not to come back because we didn't take a prescription they has written for us.
Perhaps Dr Frohlich is more concerned about the money he is making on the sale of glasses than he is for the care of his patients.
Non the less he won't have to worry about us returning to his office.
I hope this review will save other seniors the ill treatment received by my mother.
