Stayed two nights here (not in a row) - once prior to going to our flight the next morning and once after arriving back from our flight after our trip to Bahamas. I had a promo deal from our first nights stay from a membership I'm a part of and it was booked months in advance. The price slowly went up over our time spent in the Bahamas and we didn't decide until returning that we were going to stay the night instead of driving back home to Buffalo that night. So instead of charging me the price increase, the man that had checked us in the first night offered to honor our promo from the night we had stayed before our trip, and I was only charged the discount price again. I still think the normal rates $74-$83 for a night at a Days Inn is ridiculously pricey, however compared to $150-$200 range at other close by hotels, just for a place to sleep for a few hours, was ok. Easy to find a parking spot and not a long walk to the rooms. It's free parking for the night. But if you want to stay here during a vacation it's a flat rate of $40 to park in the lot for a 7 day period and specific times for an airport shuttle - our rate ended up being $40 for the 5 days we had our car parked at the airport and was much easier when carrying a ton of luggage anyway... But I guess it's a better deal if you are staying a week and don't mind the shuttle wait to and from hotel. The rooms were pretty clean compared to what I was expecting. Everything worked in both of the rooms we had. They have a "green" remote control, flat screen tv, desk, mini fridge (was pretty roomy, fit a personal pizza nicely), microwave (which I hardly ever remember having at other higher star hotels), closet hanging area, and an extra stand/table. The bathrooms were pretty small but served their purpose. I didn't like how there wasn't a spot other than the ground to put your shower supplies, however. It was a little difficult to get used to. Bed was decent size and comfortable, pillows were comfortable. We stopped down for the free breakfast, which goes from 6-9am. We went closer to 9 and it was still stocked up but my fiancé had to throw out his coffee because the milk was sitting out too long without being on ice (I don't believe there was ice) or refrigerated and didn't taste right to him. I liked we were able to pour premade batter to create waffles. We did that and yogurt (was in a fridge) with orange juice. So it was a decent small breakfast. We still had a couple hours til check out and they began cleaning the floor our room was on. Usually I don't mind the sound or anything but you could smell all the nasty cleaning product scents coming through either our door or vents. It was so strong as if I had sprayed a bottle of Lysol in front of my face and sniffed it in. Only other downfall is somebody knocked on our door ten minutes before check out time to ask if we're staying another day. Not sure why this happened but it was just weird to me. Overall this is a cheaper place to stay in the Pittsburgh area. It's much closer to the airport than to Pittsburgh itself so it's super convenient if you have a flight to catch or coming back from one it's close by with good service and a decent rate.
