Firstly I am an experienced car buyer and this is my true and accurate experience of Findlay Fiat. After driving to several dealers trying to buy a Fiat 500 and that becoming a huge waste of time, I decided to let the internet do the driving for me. I found a 2013 Fiat online in my price range at Findlay Fiat. Called there internet sales manager negotiated a price (contingent on inspection) completed a credit app and arranged to come pick the car up in the morning. Morning came (credit app had already pinged on my credit tracker and I made the 35 mile drive expecting to walk in sign papers and drive out (I am an optimist I know). Needless to say it didn't go as planned. Upon arrival i met with my sales guy who had my credit app on his desk,a good sign. At that time he began to look a little concerned when I asked where my car is. He then told me it was sold already. I told him that was not possible as I had talked to the internet manager at 8pm last night (they close around then) , he had run my credit so I could pick it up, how could it be sold? No one seems to know how that happened and the internet manager is unavailable to speak with. Naturally they had other cars on the lot that would work for me.......bait and switch anyone? I then began to become very angry about the hit on my credit, 35 mile drive, no car. Long story short another manager got involved and got me a fair price on another car to stop me from scaring off other customers( I am very loud especially when upset). In hindsight i should have told them to piss off and bought nothing, making a purchase just encourages this type of deceptive behavior. I go the car home and am happy with it. However the pre sale inspection is a joke. I checked it over :blown fuses, headlights not plugged in, nothing major and I was able to fix it all in 10 mins, that's not the point. So lets fast forward to today. Get the call my second key is in,I have to bring the car so it can be programmed. I tell the service guy I will come get it when my green slip is ready,do I need an appointment? No need we will take care of it when you get in.......Can you all guess how that went....? Arrived got the green slip no problem, key is here...wow that's great. Unfortunately it takes 30 mins to program the key, and we cant do it now. I explained the 35 mile drive and the service guys call, shrugged shoulders, too bad,no. So now I have to go back again, to get the key. Never will I go again after key pickup. Towbin Fiat for the next one.
