In the earlier part of the new millennium, I fell in love with J. Crew at Bellevue Square (http://www.yelp.com/biz/j-crew-bellevue) in Bellevue, Washington. First, their cotton tshirts with their "oarsman" logo were comfy, reasonably priced, and that logo was pretty cool. J. Crew offered clothing that was some place between The Gap and Banana Republic with more of a Gap price tag. J Crew has scuttled its oarsman t-shirt logo. I can't even find their classic tees anymore. Sigh. The new J. Crew at the Eaton Centre is your basic Banana Republic, with Banana Republic prices, and nothing that really distinguishes it. They got it packed in here and it's hard to move around. I dunno. Let's see how the store develops in a year.
