A chance to experience Chef Keller's cooking for only $$$? YES.
Two reasons why I am head over heels for the moules frites:
- 2 dozen to 3 dozen gigantic mussels for only $25. No other $$$ restaurant allows you this kind of splurge in my experience (unless you travel to the mussel-king city of Brussels)
- A mound of thin cut fries (not quite string fries but almost). I was expecting the thick cut pomme frites (as is the norm in France) that I personally don't care for... so this version was such a delight. It leans toward a little salty that it balanced nicely with the mussels. Given the volume, however, I probably finished only 1/3 of it.
Oh and their beignets are served with boysenberry sauce and - wait for it - NUTELLA!
