Went here a few months ago in the summer for an AC repair quote, and was told it would cost $1800. And, the $1800 didn't include repairs for my rear AC blower fan. The cost was high but I figured it to be correct, but it was too high for me at the time. Since I have another car that I use daily, dealing with the heat for the last month of the summer was no big deal, My wife or I would just use it for short trips to the store if the other car was in use.
Now that my wife has a new job, the car is in use more. After driving it for a while she told me that the horn was not working, and there were some other problems i should look at. Figuring the horn didn't work because of the fuse, I checked. The fuse was blown, this fuse is also the AC fuse. After changing this 20A fuse, the AC started working.
