I've had the worst experience with Mega Furniture I could only imagine. In fact, all other places I've shopped at such as Ashley's, American Furniture Warehouse, The Dump, etc. are by far superior in their customer service and delivery. Mega Furniture's moto "Dare to Compare" is laughable. True, nobody would want to compare to this ridiculous inferiority in customer service. On December 4, 2017 we purchased a rather cute set of one sideboard and two wine bookcases from the Mega Furniture in Tempe, AZ. The sideboard was delivered fairly fast, within 3 days, although the truck appeared 4 hours later than expected with multiple excuses of why this happened. Estimated delivery for the wine bookcases was 2-4 weeks. By the end of week two I made a phone call to the store and I was reminded that I need to wait up to 4 weeks before any delivery information becomes available. The promised to call me but nobody ever did. After 4 weeks I had to make a phone call again and asked why that is that I have to be the one making phone calls and inquiries. I paid in full on the day of purchase including delivery charged. Should the store now be the one fulfilling its part of the bargain and least offer me a courtesy of a phone call? But even then all I heard were only excuses about how the store is at the mercy of a manufacturer. My question is, why promising any delivery timelines at all?! At this point I was asked to wait another 2 - 4 weeks with unspecified delivery date. At 5 weeks of waiting we received a phone call that they are still waiting, but the call came so late that the warehouse was closed and they couldn't tell me how long the wait is going to be. I was promised another call the next morning with specific information but nobody ever called. I went to the store in person and waited for the answer, which I never received again. I was told: "But this has been only five weeks!" Really? Do they not realize that this means they are late and they have not delivered according to their original "promises"? On Friday, January 12th, after my trip to the store I received a call that my wine bookcases are on the truck that would arrive to the warehouse on Tuesday and to my house on Thursday or Friday at the latest. So, now it is Wednesday, January 17th, and 6 weeks have passed since the day of purchase. Nobody called me about the delivery. I made a phone call again, and there is no straight answer. I am exhausted to think why I paid for something that possibly would never get delivered. I gave them an hour to call me back with the information. If I get nothing I hope to be able to cancel my order for full refund. I also don't want this sideboard anymore because it is of no use to me without the bookcases. They were purchases as a set. All I can tell you is that I will NEVER again give my money to the Mega Furniture no matter how much I like the item. I will not support mediocre business that disrespects customers.
