I brought my two dogs here hoping to find them a new friend. Today there was a special, that some dogs with a certain sticker on their description were able to be adopted and taken home that day, already spayed or neutered for 10 dollars. I'm not sure if there will be another day like this anytime soon, but maybe?
Around 2 years ago i adopted my dogs here too. They are sisters so they were paired up in the same room, which is nice. I hate when dogs are separated from each other if they're related. Unfortunately my dogs never befriended the nice pups we saw today. We spent around 15 minutes with a few dogs in the small grass areas.
The facility was clean, and since today was special, it was quite busy. The dogs each have their own room/cell (hate to say cell, makes me sad =/), the dogs cannot see eachother to intimidate or have fights, and in the back of each cell is a door which leads to the back to let them run or get some air. The staff or volunteers today were too busy to really stand around and ask questions which i get, but some were just plain rude. I was talking to a volunteer or worker today (i couldn't tell at the time), about what today was all about, he looked at me confused and walked around me and i said "excuse me," and he said sorry. Kind of a rude shrug off, but I understand if you're busy just tell me you know?
Overall i give this an A-OK, my experience elsewhere has been better, but being so close to my house along with the clinic that does my dogs' yearly shots, i can't complain.
