My family just relocated to the Phoenix area from Seattle and have been eating Honey baked ham for years. In fact their sandwiches were our favorite and my 6 year old loved the soup(anyone with children probably knows how difficult it is to get them to eat sometimes). In any case after being in the area for a few weeks we were excited to see something familiar when we ran into the honey baked ham in Paradise Valley. We walked in and there was only one gentleman sitting in the cafe we were told they would be with us shortly. After waiting for about 5 min. With no sign of any employees my husband noticed the gentlemen sitting there had some really incredible tattoos and walked over to compliment the mans art. The work was done by a very famous artist and the guy lit up and started telling us stories and showing off his work (still none else in sight including employees). We probably talked for an additional 10 min. Waiting for service when a male employee came shooting out of the back and got right in my husbands face, asking very rudely, " Can I help you!" My husband said, "yes we're here for sandwich's." The employee at this point took a very aggressive stance and told us that he would have to ask us to leave as we were "soliciting" his clientele. The gentlemen we were speaking with got up at this point and said he was leaving as well. It was very apparent that all parties in the dining area were having a welcomed conversation about a common interest. I have never in my life been treated so rudely, or had an employee be so aggressive towards me or my family. My son began crying as we tried to gather our things. As we tried to leave this horrible person continued to yell at us from behind the counter. I don't know what else to say in my experience you just simply don't treat people this way let alone a customer. I WILL NEVER be visiting this establishment again and would encourage others to save them selves the humiliation of being treated like a second class citizen and eat elsewhere.
