You could read the long version or the TL; DR version. Here's that version, Meh So we came here looking to celebrate. Honestly I thought this was another much fancier place, but it was close and the food wasn't bad the last time we came. We were seated immediately and had reservations that definitely were not necessary for a Tuesday afternoon. We didn't get a better table because of the reservations and it looks like we missed the happy hour specials. We ended up getting an appetizer, the Zonie Roll, the spicy yellow tail roll, and the Pacific roll. The rolls themselves were creative and OK. The fish wasn't super fresh but the rolls had good flavor to them. Definitely not a place I'd go to WOW someone, more like somewhere we'd go if we were lazy. The Happy Hour specials looked cool, and they do a reverse happy hour which is also fun. Our rolls took FOREVER to come out though, to the point that the birthday party to the right of us with about 15 people got their food first even though we were seated first. They apologized twice and took a roll off the bill, but still it didn't leave a great taste in our mouths. The sushi didn't either. So Meh, we thought it was alright. Unlikely to be back. Sushi you remain an elusive mistress in Phoenix.
