I have done a lot of different yoga styles, and I've been trying out the studios in the area since I moved here. Sumits Yoga was a great workout, although there were a couple of things that were a little "off" for me. The staff was very nice and did a good job leading the poses, but only one of the instructors that I had would offer individual corrections or advice on form. Yoga is very much up to the individual, but letting someone get sloppy in their poses is not beneficial. The only other hitch is the music. I like the concept of music, but it seems randomly selected (this might also be a music preference thing). I also think it could be executed better (e.g., fade out the music at the end of the sequence instead of just abruptly shutting it off). It's a good studio, lots of classes, and a good workout. But not a great place to develop your practice. Also, the new student special is way too good to pass up (2 weeks for $20).
