In a previous life, Xtreme Bean was Gold Bar and the "vault" at the Gold Bar was more of a chill area with board games where people could play or chat. Over the years, Xtreme Bean took over the building and Gold Bar moved into the Ross/Subway plaza. The atmosphere then evolved into a haven for those that are glued to their laptops and/or those that need to intensely study. While I do reminisce about the old days of yore, Xtreme bean does serve up very good coffee drinks that are smooth yet strong. I've had their frappes and they have been rich, full of flavor, and not overly sweet. They have a very wide selection of sugar free syrups too if you are wanting something less calorie intensive.
