I was at the marina to test drive a boat from a private seller. The seller did not know much about his own boat, and could not get it started. We went in to the marina and found Bruce Nelson. What a guy! He said that all of his mechanics were on jobs, but that he would come out and take a look. He was able to spray some liquid fuel into the carb and get the boat started. After Bruce found out I was potentially buying the boat from this guy he started checking everything out. He checked the oil, the bilge, and some gel coat issues. He helped us unload the boat into the water and even drove it over to the courtesy dock. He spent 30 minutes with us at least, all at no charge. I was amazed. You just don't run into people like this anymore. I live in San Diego, so I probably won't be at this marina often, but I would urge anyone at Lake Mead to see Bruce if you need to purchase, sell, or repair a boat. He is a friendly, trustworthy, and helpful guy. I hope that I can find someone like Bruce here in San Diego as I get more and more into boating!
